Two day course – consecutive Saturday and Sunday

Starting a wedding photography business – Level 2 course £300 Total – Maximum 6 students 

The who, the what, the when and the where… 

Who is the course for? 

This is an intermediate/advanced course and is aimed at people who would like to start or progress a wedding photography business. This course will help you supercharge your wedding bookings and build your business year on year. We will cover marketing, business, social media, customer service, websites and the practical aspects of shooting a wedding. 

You need to be fully conversant with your camera settings and happy with shooting in manual. If you are new to photography then will need to take the level 1, Introductory Photography Course first. 

Day 1 

During the first day we will be classroom based. Business tips, marketing, websites, digital asset management. How I approach each wedding. Getting new customers, increasing sales. Equipment, whats needed, whats not. Shooting styles, natural light vs flash. Album design and sales. How to create content for your website. Managing a styled shoot. 

Day 2 

The morning session will be a continuation from the Saturday, with time to recap over the topics and address any questions you will have. 

The afternoon session will be a practical session  We will be using off camera flash and learning how it can be used during the wedding day. We will use one another as  models. This has been done to keep the cost of the course as low as possible. We will go through how to arrange your own styled to shoot to help you get some fantastic portfolio images.

Upon signing up for the course you will receive a questionnaire, it will ask what you would like to learn form the course and any objectives you would like to accomplish. The course is very flexible and is partly led by the students abilities during the weekend. 

When is the next course? 

Please select what date you require when booking below.  I run one wedding course every month. 

Starting at 10 am on the Saturday. 

We break for lunch at 12.30 for 30 minutes and then continue till 4pm. There is a good chance that we will run over, so if you plan for staying an hour or so later then that is fine. It’s nice to have a relaxed Q and A after the day with a coffee, juice or wine. 

The Sunday times are the same. 

This is a fantastic course to get you started in wedding photography, or if you already shooting it is a great way to increase your skill level and help increase your bookings. 

I have shot hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of weddings over the last 18 years, I am a qualified lecturer and love seeing when people ‘get that light bulb moment’ when it all clicks…
